Description of the house

Here is our house for rent in Sathorn. A couple of notes about it. It is located in the heart of residential Sathorn, and is hard to find, especially the first time. Once you figure the neighborhood out, it is not to hard, but if you want to use it as a home office, be prepared to walk out to lead clients to it the first time. Also, parking is going to be difficult, at least for westerners. The neighbors (all Thai) don't seem to have a problem, and all own big SUVs or Pickups, but I myself would be hard pressed to get a motorcycle in and out. But I am a bad driver, so your mileage may vary.

The house is a Thai row house, narrow but long. The first and second floors are 13 meters by 3.5 meters, the top floor is about 10.5 by 3.5. So all told, about 130 square meters.

The house has been fully renovated, above thai standard but not really western standard. We raised the lowest floor, so we put in new water pipes everywhere. The electric system is also new, fully grounded and way over-engineered. (I fear mr. sparky). We put in plenty of outlets and built-in lighting, plus six ceiling fans throughout, every floor is internet, phone and cable TV ready. Also new windows, doors, etc. The house is ready for AC in every room, but we didn't install it yet. We will put one into whatever room renters want, or more if they want (but then the rent goes up)

Two bathrooms, one pretty small, one medium sized. Both have been fully re tiled, and have modern fixtures (American Standard toilets, sinks, water-heaters, etc.). Both are as nice as an old Thai house can have, without tearing down the house and starting over. (No thai house built before 1995 has a 90 degree right angle anywhere. I measured the angles of the four corners of one room, they added up 402 degrees. Don't say that its impossible, I re measured 3 times).

One main room on the ground floor ,very large (10.8 by 3.5), plus the small kitchen and bathroom. The whole floor is tile, the walls newly painted in the main room, tiled in the kitchen and bathroom.

The second floor has a large bedroom (5.8 by 3.5), a small living/den like area (4.7 by 3.5, but the stairs make the usable space smaller), and the larger bathroom. The bathroom is tiled, the other rooms have wood floors.

The third floor has two bedrooms, one very large (6.6 by 3.5), the other fairly small (4 by 2.3). Again, wood floors. Below are floor plans with dimensions.
